Reconnaissance Network Appliance
The company’s proprietary assessment engine is housed on a device called a Reconnaissance Network Appliance (RNA). The RNA is used to scan client computing networks and identify vulnerabilities on each device it discovers. For scanning Internet-facing assets, we utilize the RNA located at our SNOC. An additional RNA, located at the client’s premises on an internal subnet, is employed to scan your intranet assets. It is important to note that neither RNA stores sensitive assessment information, nor does either RNA capture, detect, or process any of your transaction data. We also perform the maintenance of all NSAS components (including the RNA deployed on your internal network) remotely from our SNOC, sparing your staff any added effort.
Digital Defense has a dedicated team that develops new vulnerability identification tests for our assessment system. We utilize a multitude of resources including public and private sources for obtaining information on the many new vulnerabilities being discovered continually.
